John Joël Joseph, the first of six government cooperating witnesses, testified over four days — after meeting prosecutors 31 times — describing the final hours before the assassination and how a plan to arrest Moïse, using a judge-signed warrant, became a killing. FBI testimony has presented Joseph Félix Badio, John Joël Joseph and Christian Sanon as part of the conspiracy. John Joël Joseph pleaded guilty and is serving life; Badio awaits trial and Sanon is on trial now.
