Third superseding indictment: 11 charged, four Florida arrests

A grand jury in the Southern District of Florida unsealed a third superseding indictment against 11 defendants (Case No. 1:22-cr-20104). Pretel Ortiz, Intriago, Veintemilla and Bergmann were arrested in Florida that morning. Solages, Vincent, Rivera García and Sanon had been transferred from Haitian to U.S. custody weeks earlier. At this stage Sanon was charged only with export offences; the kill/kidnap counts against him came later.
