Rivera García sentenced to life

Germán Alejandro Rivera García, the retired Colombian colonel who commanded the contingent in Haiti, was sentenced to life after pleading guilty with a cooperation agreement. Court documents say he relayed to the team that the plan was not kidnapping but killing, and rode in a convoy to the residence.
