President Jovenel Moïse assassinated at Pèlerin 5

About two dozen foreign mercenaries, mostly former Colombian soldiers, some in CTU vests and shouting that they were DEA agents, stormed the president's home in Pétion-Ville. A “Delta Team” of former special-forces soldiers shot Moïse 12 times in his bedroom. Martine Moïse was shot multiple times, played dead, and survived. Their children hid inside the home. No member of the presidential guard stopped the attackers. At the 2026 trial, ballistics matched bullets from both victims to a Delta Team rifle.
